Join AITC in our quest for meaningful change. Together, let's make a positive impact that will endure. AITC is currently celebrating a significant milestone—15 years of unwavering service to the community. This year, we proudly received the Daniel G. Roberts Award for Excellence in Public Historical Archaeology, recognizing our dedication to the field.
Over the past 15 years, our reach has extended nationally to states such as the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, and even internationally to Belize and Haiti. We've conducted free youth programs and responded to requests for international programs, demonstrating our commitment to making a global difference.
As we embark on this anniversary season, we invite you to become an integral part of our journey by offering your generous support. The success of these initiatives hinges on continued funding, and to address the challenges and opportunities ahead, we urge our valued supporters to consider becoming recurring monthly donors. Your ongoing commitment will play a pivotal role in sustaining our award-winning programs and supporting the commendable efforts of our dedicated staff and volunteers.
In commemoration of our 15 years, we ask you to consider becoming a recurring donor at $15 a month or any amount that resonates with you, helping to propel AITC's initiatives forward.

As the Director of the Milot Archaeological Project in Haiti, I am strongly committed to community engaged research. Thus, I jumped at the change to collaborate with Alexandra Jones and the AITC team. Dr. Jones spent a week with us in the field during our excavations at Sans-Souci. She ran numerous public archaeology classes for elementary school children in the community, and trained multipe Haitian undergraduates to run those same classes themselves. Dr. Jones left a lasting mark on the children of Milot, and students from the National University of Haiti are still using the materials and training she left with them. Archaeology really matters to local communities, and Dr. Jones and the AIC team are masters at bridging the gap between academic research and community interests.

Archaeology in the Community (AITC) has provided me with immeasurable benefits both in my professional and personal life. My journey with the organization started with the Teacher LEARN Program at Montpelier in 2019, which generously provides professional development for educators through hands-on experiences in archaeology. The program's comprehensive lesson examples make archaeology accessible to a wide range of students, while its commitment to diverse perspectives challenges established historical narratives. My involvement with AITC expanded in November of 2022 as a Curriculum Developer, which has deepened my dedication to elevating silenced voices and celebrating the triumphs of descendant communities. I am grateful to be part of an organization committed to making history inclusive and meaningful for our communities.

I feel Young Archaeologists' Club offered a positive educational value for many reasons. The large room and atmosphere where the children were able to be expressive and interact with a diverse group of peers. The real artifacts and hands on projects during each session. The detailed history lessons given by staff. The guided field trips. It was all very educational. My child retained so much info, has fond memories and new interests. I learned some things too. I am happy we had the opportunity to attend.
